Short Biography: Sami Kalfaoğlu earned his Bachelor’s Degree in Architecture from Selçuk University’s Faculty of Architecture. He then pursued his Master’s Degree at the Selçuk University Institute of Science and Technology. His Ph.D. research was conducted at Middle East Technical University, and he completed his Ph.D. at Konya Technical University.
Since 2001, he has been a lecturer at the Faculty of Architecture at Selçuk University and the Faculty of Architecture at Konya Technical University. During this period, he served on the Cultural and Natural Heritage Conservation Board of Bursa, appointed by the Ministry of Culture and Tourism. He has participated in numerous architectural projects and competitions and was a jury member for the “Cami Tasarımı Fikir Yarışması” in 2018.
Dr. Kalfaoğlu has held various administrative and representative roles throughout his career. He has been an Assistant Professor at the Faculty of Architecture and Design, Department of Architecture, at Konya Technical University. His areas of expertise include Architectural Design, Urban Design, Social Housing, Housing Cooperatives, Urban History, Urban Law, and Mosque Architecture. He also teaches courses in Architectural Design, Urban Design, Urban Planning and Urban Law and the Development of Housing Settlements.
