Amer Al-Jokhadar

Dr Amer Al-Jokhadar is an assistant professor of architecture at the University of Petra, Jordan. He received his Ph.D. in 2018 (with a focus on social sustainability and parametric architecture) from the Welsh School of Architecture, Cardiff University, UK, and his BSc. and MSc. degrees in Architecture Engineering from Jordan University of Science and Technology. He is a registered professional architect at Jordan Engineers Association, and practiced the profession for more than 11 years, in addition to more than 10 years in academia in several Jordanian universities. He is a member of the reviewing committee for the “Code of Architectural Spaces in Buildings”, Ministry of Public Works and Housing, Jordan. He received several grants to research enhancement to the aspects of environmental sustainability using local rammed earth material, and indoor air quality in educational buildings. Al-Jokhadar has published work on spatial reasoning, parametric architecture, social sustainability, and shape grammars. To access his research papers, please follow the link:
