Preface: Under the theme, “Mosque: Building crosses cultures”, The 3rd international conference on mosque architecture (ICMA 3) will be held at Kuwait from 14-16 November 2022, ICMA 3 was supposedly planned to be organized at Sarajevo last June 2021, but because of the pandemic, it has been postponed and shifted to Kuwait.
Kuwait: Kuwait City is the capital and largest city of Kuwait. Located at the heart of the country on the south shore of Kuwait Bay on the Arabian Gulf, it is the political, cultural, and economical center of the emirate, containing Kuwait's Seif Palace, government offices, the headquarters of most Kuwaiti corporations and banks.
Conference Venue - Sheikh Jaber Al Ahmad Cultural Center: The Sheikh Jaber Al-Ahmad Cultural Centre (JACC), informally known as the Kuwait Opera House, is a cultural center in Kuwait. It is the largest cultural center and opera house in the Middle East The cultural center is part of the new Kuwait National Cultural District.
The Sheikh Jaber Al-Ahmad Cultural Centre is a multidisciplinary public space owned by the Amiri Diwan. It offers a range of events in music, theatre, film, conferences, workshops and spoken word.
Kuwait University: Kuwait University is the State of Kuwait’s national university, leading in both higher education and scientific research. It was established in 1966 as the state’s first public institution of higher education and research. It had made significant advances since its establishment nearly 50 years ago and has evolved into a multi-faculty institution of higher education comprised of 17 colleges offering 91 undergraduate and 82 graduate programs. As it celebrates its semi-centennial anniversary (Golden Jubilee), the university has seen its enrollment grow from about 418 to about 38,000 students, faculty from 31 to 1,580, colleges from 4 to 17, administrative and academic support personnel from 200 to more than 5,000. Kuwait University offers a profound learning experience presented by distinguished and culturally diverse faculty, backed by advanced infrastructure, state-of-the-art technologies, and world-class laboratories.
