Assoc. Prof. Yasin BEKTAŞ is a member of Urban and Regional Planning Department at Istanbul Technical University (ITU), Türkiye. He received Ph.D. (2017) from Yildiz Technical University, in urban planning program. Earned his master’s degree (MSc) (2011) in urban planning program at Erciyes University and bachelor’s degree (2009) in the Department of City and Regional Planning from the same university. His general research interests are housing policy, social interaction, disasters risk, climate change, risk mitigation, urban regeneration, and urban resilience. Besides his academic works and courses, Bektaş has worked as a researcher on projects. He also has been working as a researcher in Developing a Climate Change Resistant University (Idum) Campus Model in The Framework of Energy, Water, Waste, Biodiversity, Regional Planning and Education: Itu Campuses Study.
