Personal Biography
Dr. Farrag is an architect and an assistant professor at the
Department of Architectural Engineering in the Faculty
of Engineering at Delta University for Science and
Technology, situated in Dakhliya, Egypt. In 2021, she
successfully completed her Ph.D. in Architectural
Engineering from the Architectural Engineering
Department at Alexandria University in Egypt.
Throughout her academic journey, Farrag has actively
participated in various collaborative projects, both
nationally and internationally, and has made significant contributions to research
through conferences and workshops. Her research interests primarily revolve
around Architectural Design, Islamic Architecture, Sustainability, and
Environmental Design.
Paper Abstract
The era of artificial intelligence (AI) has brought about significant advancements and transformations in various fields, and mosque architecture is no exception. This research aims to explore the changes in mosque design brought about by the era of artificial intelligence (AI). By employing a mixed-method approach that includes a literature review, case studies, and architectural analysis, the study seeks to understand the evolving role of AI in mosque architecture and identify the potential benefits and challenges it presents. The study utilizes a mixed-method approach, including a literature review, case studies, and architectural analysis. The research seeks to understand the evolving role of AI in mosque architecture and identify the potential benefits and challenges it presents.
In addition, The research aims to provide insights and recommendations for architects and designers to create innovative, sustainable, and spiritly mosque designs in the AI era.
In this light, the research investigates the impact of AI on mosque architecture. By analyzing existing practices, architectural elements, and architects' perspectives, the study aims to guide architects in embracing AI innovations while preserving the cultural and spiritual significance of mosques.
