Mosque Architecture is a distinctive structural form that reflects the religion, cultural and social practices of Muslim communities worldwide. This abstract explores reviving the expression of mosque architecture through new design approach respecting Islamic values and modern architecture norms. Mosques, the primary places of worship in Islam, embody the principles of Islamic architecture through their functional and aesthetic elements. The first mosque built by Prophet Muhammad (PUH) was very simple in its characteristics. During that time Islam became complete. So the instruction regarding the mosque construction was also finalized at that time. Prophet of Islam advised for simple structures devoid of ornamentation and luxury for Mosque. So we need to obey this for designing the mosque as it is a religious structure. When Islam spread throughout the world then it incorporated with local culture and emerged with its new vocabulary called Islamic architecture. Dome & Arch became the inseparable element due to create large open space, structural benefit and lighting. In that period Motifs were practiced in Churches and Temples. From there, Geometric and floral motifs took place in the mosque architecture through the process of aniconism as a cultural transformation. According to modern architecture, buildings devoid of decoration are modern. In respect to this, modern architecture is actually repeating the ideology of Islam. Mosque Architecture should represent by forms rather than the other decorative motifs. Now-a-days large opening and column free open space can be achieved. The author tried to convey that we need to rethink the Form, Space, and Order of mosque architecture. By reflecting the essential demands of Islamic philosophy through Form, we should make the mosque's space solemn and represent the elements of Form in such a way that it emerges as a place for Prayer in line with the fundamental directives of Islam. A minimalist and simplistic design approach should be adopted to highlight the core essence of Islam, demonstrating that, transcending time, place, and context, a mosque structure embodies the fundamental spirit of Islam and manifests as a structure for the global Muslim Ummah.
