Personal Biography
In 2000, Dr. Zainab Hussein Ra’ouf started her academic career as a faculty member at the Dept. of Architectural Engineering, University of technology in Baghdad. With more than twenty years of academic experience, she has been involved in teaching Islamic architecture, programming architectural spaces, acoustics utilities, Iraqi traditional architecture, in addition to design studios in various capacities at the University of Technology in Baghdad. In addition, Dr. Zainab focuses on enhancing the student’ capacity in design decision making and concept by embodiment architectural ideas with traditional and Islamic values that characterized identity of local and Arab society, in addition to adopt international contemporary technologies to create Islamic aesthetic patterns in models which enhanced contemporary local identity.so the field of her teaching include(Architectural Design, Islamic technics, Islamic and traditional values, local Iraqi architecture, Theory of architecture, Interior design, Islamic and traditional vocabularies and technologies, Heritage and vernacular architecture, Sustainable architecture, Theory of architecture).
