Paper Abstract
AI applications have been increasingly used in historic building conservation, including structural health monitoring, damage assessment, public engagement, and ethical considerations. This paper explores the role of AI in the preventive and planning conservation of historic mosques. It investigates the potential of integrating AI with Building Information Modeling (HBIM) to enhance the preservation of historic buildings in post-conflict reconstruction contexts. The study highlights the challenges and opportunities presented by such environments and how AI can facilitate damage assessment, material analysis, structural health monitoring, and informed decisions regarding restoration and conservation efforts. The paper aims to provide a comprehensive overview of how AI with HBIM can be used to conserve and revitalize historic buildings, contributing to post-conflict reconstruction and cultural heritage conservation. The research is conducted in an analytical and applied manner in order to achieve the stated research objectives.
