Short Biography: Dr Illyani Ibrahim is an Associate Professor in International Islamic University Malaysia in the Department of Urban and Regional Planning at International Islamic University Malaysia. She completed her PhD on geospatialist in applied climate research. She was a member of Royal Institute Surveyor Malaysia (RISM), a corporate member of Institution of Geospatial and Remote Sensing Society (IGRSM) and an associate member in Malaysia Institute of Planners. Her recent research interest focuses on the application of geospatialist in disaster and environmental analysis.
Her areas of expertise including analysis disaster using geographic information system (GIS) and remote sensing, climate change and sustainable rural planning and development. She is actively involved in numerous projects related to geospatial and local planning projects and system development.
