Short Biography: Ahmet Gün is an associate professor at Faculty of Architecture, Istanbul Technical University (ITU). After he completed his bachelor’s degree in Architecture (2012), he received master’s degree in Urban Design (2014) at Istanbul Technical University (ITU). During his Ph.D. period, he carried out his research as a “visiting researcher” at KU Leuven between March 2018- May 2019. Moreover, he organized a track in JaneJacobs100 Conference which took place at The Delft University of Technology, The Netherlands. He edited a book and published book chapter regarding mosque architecture published by ITU Press. He is now a member of organizing committee of International Conference on Mosque Architecture IV which will be held on Istanbul (2025). His current research interest varies from mosque architecture, participation in architectural design, critical spatial practices, social design.
