Short Biography: Associate. Professor. TPr. Dr. Lukman Hakim Mahamod, BURP (Hons), MSc., PhD. is Coordinator Islamization of Human Knowledge Kulliyyah of Architecture and Environmental Design, lecturer at Department of Urban and Regional Planning. He worked as a town planner at private practice in Malaysia for 2 years prior to join the International Islamic University Malaysia in 1998. At IIUM he is among the staff prepare curriculum for Department of Urban and Regional Planning. He is active in research and consultancy. His academic experience includes research in the areas of Muslim neighborhood and heritage, Islamic tourism, rural poverty, ‘Shariah Compliance Rating Tools for Tourism and Hospitality’. His latest research ‘Risk of corruption in identify type of land use was funded by the Government of Malaysia. He is also a professional town planner registered with the Board of Town Planners Malaysia.
