The topic of daylighting is highly important to achieve sustainability. Many benefits could be highlighted such as visual comfort, minimizing costs, and spirituality. The paper will focus on visual comfort to provide sufficient illuminance to the prayers for reading purposes. In my point of view, simulation is not enough to test the visual comfort. It should be combined with other methods such as interviews, observations, or asking prayers about quality of lighting in different times of the day. Also, it is highly recommended to highlight other benefits of the natural light through bilateral lighting, clerestory, and skylight. The conclusion should be as recommendations for designers of how they can apply natural lighting strategies to achieve sustainability.
